Is it okay for a man to get a manicure and or a pedicure???

of course tell them to stay away from the clear gloss they put on the fingers though or the buffing a man that is well manicured has a great sense of who he is and where hes going. Is it okay for a man to get a manicure and or a pedicure???
Nope - men getting a pedicure is pure kucka!!! :(Is it okay for a man to get a manicure and or a pedicure???
umm i dont think so cuz its a little weird!!!
it's perfectly okay. it's one way of showing one's individuality.
yes. Maybe not a pedicure but a manicure especially if there hands are really rough.
are great looking nails for women only? I think not.
Yes. I hate people who dont take care of their nails.
Sure. It's just a matter of personal grooming. Everyone at least needs their nails clipped. Straight men would probably skip the polish, though.
yes it is i don't see nothing wrong with that
Of course, there's nothing wrong with taking care of ones body, for both males and females.
If he's gay.
lol idk, only if there gay
pedicures are a plus. i mean, dont get your nails painted.. but men's feet can be so rank.

I made my husband get one.. he was so homophobic about it until a beautiful girl was rubbing on him. ha. he loves them now.
Yes and yes.
Can't imagine why it wouldn't be....
sure it is! why not? my friend and her husband had one done a few weeks ago, they went together, and they loved it!
As long as he doesn't get a color or polish. I think it is okay for him to get them trimmed and stuff and the only color he can wear is clear...

Is it gay for a man to get a pedicure?

in prison? Is it gay for a man to get a pedicure?

not at all. i like a man that can take care of his body
you are still in prison??????

i think FEVER bribed the police .....
No, I think that's accepted protocol.
not if his girlfriend is the one giving it to him.......in prison.
yes, it's //very// gay for a man to take care of him self! (oozing with sarcasm)
Um....only if they are dressed like you. LOL!
outside of prison no my boyfriend gets pedicures cause I dont want him tearing up the sheets inside prison yes cause the only other person to do it would be a guy and I think that is kinda weird
yes
no it's not gay... why can't a mans nails look good too. no one wants to see crusty nails on anyone... if a man doesn't take care of his nails then everyone is looking at him like he's a dirt ball, and when he does he's gay?? to me its just called personal hygiene... men or women just need to take care of themselves.
only if he enjoys it :P
Sure, if he wants to go to prison for one, more power to him...LMAO...
Yes I would think so
Only if you use PINK polish.
very gay
Its not gay, its just very metro-sexual. In prison...ick!
No,but you might get your butt whopped.
No!
depends, a guy may give the pedicure if out of prison, so what is the difference. depends on your flavor and your intent in or out of prison. If you have a ';feet'; fetish then yeah maybe its gay
haha... yeah, especially in prison
I think a man't nails looking good are as important as a womans. I would imagine that there are guys getting pedicures in prison, if they are offered that service.
yeah, it really is.

Do women like for a man to get a manicure and pedicure?

It's nice for a man to take care of him to the extend that he'd get a manicure and pedicure, even if he gives them to himself. It indicates that he understands that details are important, and will likely extend to other areas of his life - clean apartment, etc.Do women like for a man to get a manicure and pedicure?
Yes! And women will notice it if you do.

You do not need a spa but you might try one initially to get a good idea of what to do if you are not sure.

I do my sons feet and hands on Sundays and they are only 10 and 7 years old.

Do women like for a man to get a manicure and pedicure?
I personally prefer my man to be well-groomed and well-dressed. Therefore a manicure and pedicure are part of this. It really is very pleasing to see a man with manicured, buffed fingernails. When he wears sandals or takes off his footwear, I enjoy looking at those well-taken care of feet and toes.
yes. as long as they dont get polish or anything. except clear polish just to make their nails shine a bit.

%26lt;3sara
Yes, as long as he doesn't use any polish. Why not clean up nasty feet?
Yes so long as its not polished or looks overly shapely or feminine then i don't have a problem. Its all part of being well groomed and neat in appearance
I think it looks very clean and professional when a man has nice hands and nails. It makes me feel like they take the time to take care for themselves, and care what they look like.
Good hygene is perfect for women and men in one. and our nails is a good part to take care of. Not just our hair, body and its looks. The same as men likes well perfectly hygened women head to toe, so do women likes the same in men.

There's nothing to be ashamed of. Good hygene (Nurturing yourself in any kind by nails treatment etc.) is not just for the impression; it's also for yourself.
My wife prefer that I keep my finger and toe nail in a good groomed condition, I was reluctant at first. But after I got used to the idea I really liked it for my self where it was as second nature as going to the dentist and the barber......
Gross no. Those are for girls only.
HEEEEEEEELL NOOOOO THAT IS SO GAY
its nice if u dont get polish.. just get them cleaned up.. shiny not to shiny and pedicure get off all calases...
I think they might not like the thought of it, but the finished product they will love!
I think that's a little too girly. My boyfriend doesn't get either of those, and that's the way I like it. If you want to get them done, then don't parade it around in front of girls. But I think the majority of women don't like it.
I do. It shows that you don't mind looking good. My husband gets them all the time. I love how his hands are always clean. It make me feel a little better when it is alone time behind doors if you know what I mean.
uhm my answer to that would be no...
It is very nice to see a man with clean hands and feet once and a while it is not so cool to see it all the time though.
Hmmm..good question. I've never before met a man that I was attracted to who had clean hands/feet. All the men in my life are mechanics, though, so it makes sense that they'd have permanently oily hands. I like a man to clean up, wash his hands/feet well, keep them nice. But honestly I like a man to have some callouses, it means he's an actual man.

But cracked dry hands are gross- I think all men should buy a non-scented manly lotion so that hands aren't sandpaper-ish. Keep toe nails cut, too. Men's feet tend to get zero attention.
i don't think any woman wants a man to have ugly, dirty nails and toenails . . . if you get a basic manicure with no polish (just nail filing/shaping, cuticle removal, and cleaning) i'm sure a woman would appreciate it

some women might be turned off of the idea of a man getting a manicure or pedicure, but the truth is, most guys aren't as knowledgeable about how to take care of their nails/toenails as most women are, so they don't really have the option to clean up their nails themselves . . .

nails for girls are more of a fashion/beauty statement . . . for guys, i think it's great to do just as basic self-maintenance
yes
Depends on the woman.some do ,some dont. Keep your nails clean as women like that.Once in a while if you want ,you can go for a manicure/pedicure. Nothing wrong with that. Dont apply polish .Just a good clean up. Have fun. :)
YESSS!!!
It depends. It's nice for his hands and nails to be clean and soft, but if it's too girly, I don't like it.
No, sorry. If my man was sitting beside me at the spa I wouldnt like it one bit. Leave it to the girls to get their nails done, they have at home kits for guys. Its just a little too weird.
Yes that is my biggest pet peeve is dirty nails and toenails
it just depends on the guy. i personally think its sexy to see a guy for once take care of himself and have a little bit of pride in himself to do something like that.

Does it make sense for a man to get a pedicure and manicure; what are the joys/benefits and if yes how often?

It makes perfect sense. Once you do it, you'll never want to stop. My brother is the manliest of men and he does it. HA HA. Alot of people, especially men don't pay much attention to their feet, so I receommend you let someone else pay attention to them. Besides who like disgusting feet!

Relax and Enjoy!Does it make sense for a man to get a pedicure and manicure; what are the joys/benefits and if yes how often?
yes! you should only becuz it feels amazing, i do it for my husband every month it should be once a month, i do it all for him make him feel like a king, trust me you will love it its a nice expierence, and your nails will look so nice and clean and ur feet freshDoes it make sense for a man to get a pedicure and manicure; what are the joys/benefits and if yes how often?
Yes, it makes total sense!

Men, especially older gentlemen, have difficulty with proper footcare and need to see a professional. Men have arthritis, Diabetes, dry skin just as women do so I think it makes total sense to have feet and nail care. Actually, there are more shops opening for men for this service!
sure, why not?!? guys can enjoy getting pampered just like women can, there's nothing wrong with it.

not only does it feel good, but you can relax for a little while during the pedicure as the nail technician is massaging your feet and legs

and while you're at it...go ahead, get a colour on your toenails...it's just a fun thing to do...and nobody has to know unless you want them to

Men Do You Ever Go For A Manicure & Pedicure???

I always see men in the nail salon now and then getting a manicure..How many of you men actually go for both manicure and pedicures??? What do you love best about it?? Are you tickelish when the ladies touch your feet???Men Do You Ever Go For A Manicure %26amp; Pedicure???
I want to try a pedicure. sounds like fun. :)Men Do You Ever Go For A Manicure %26amp; Pedicure???
Never done it, it sounds to expensive... just a simple nail cutting at home is fine with me...
No way. Didn't go to a hair dresser in the last 25 years. My wife do my hair. Nails ? You just break them or bite them off if they break. Once in a while you cut them.
Never but if anyone does who cares
I've never had either, but I always end up giving them to my GF,

She makes me do it, I don't enjoy it really. . . . .

  • How often is too often for a man to get a pedicure before most people raise an eyebrow? 4 per year too much?

4 a year is definetly not too much even for a male. It is not just about getting your toe nails done. it is about relaxation. Getting your feet massaged and much more. Get them as often as you desire~How often is too often for a man to get a pedicure before most people raise an eyebrow? 4 per year too much?
You can get as many as you want. If it makes you feel good about yourself, get go for it. My wife makes me a couple of times a year. I go to satisfy her wants. No big deal to me and she somehow feels better for it. So, if it makes you feel better it's nobody else's business how often you go. Besides, You're taking better care of yourself and it impresses most men, though they would not admit it.How often is too often for a man to get a pedicure before most people raise an eyebrow? 4 per year too much?
as often as you need to......I have a lot of respect for a man who gets a pedicure.....some men really need to see the light, cause nothing worse than funky gnarly feet.
I think there is nothing wrong in men having a pedicure once a month. My brother who is not gay but is a total metrosexual even though he denies it goes in once a week and has his eyebrows done. his girlfriend is so happy with his grooming habits.
Most men don't care, but some feel like they need them. I don't think it's a big deal, a guy can have as many pedicures as he wants.
i don't think there is a limit, just because a man wants to have nice clean feet doesn't mean anything. i'm sure a woman would rather have a man with clean kept feet then some nasty *** feet.
any at all is too much
get as many as you want and dont worry about what other people think! 1 or 2 times a month is about normal
    even 1 is too many.
Any man that gets a pedicure is perceived as gay. Once will raise an eyebrow.

If your man paid for it would you get Manicures, Pedicures and your hair done regularly? How much does it cost

the cost depends on where u go and what u get. but i think that i speak for all women when i say yes because thats what women love and we love it even more if our men pay for it but don't get me wrong cause i dont want to make us sound like gold diggers or anything but i mean we're not go turn it down if u offer and men like their woman to look good, and feel good so go out and atleast tret your girl even if it's only $25 to get her nails done. and we also like to look good for our men atleast i do. i dont want to go anywhere with my boo and he be looking nice and i look like who did it and why. ya know? so yeah. some women will be just fine if her man gives her half of the money. If your man paid for it would you get Manicures, Pedicures and your hair done regularly? How much does it cost
no, there are to many un sanitary places that do manys and petys, and i know best how i want them done. and the cost is to much for something i can do myself, and enjoy, the complements are astonishing when u can tell people that u do it ur self.If your man paid for it would you get Manicures, Pedicures and your hair done regularly? How much does it cost
    yes

    probably about $200

    manicures: $25

    pedicures: $40-$80 (I think)

    hairstyle: $80-$100

get down girl go head get down (I gotta leave)

get down girl go head get down (I gotta leave)

get down girl go head get down (I gotta leave)

    get down girl go head
sure would, i like to look good for my man. costs generally $150-250
Yes i would let him assume the cost because its expensive to be a Lady. Some women do those things because their man likes it. Although i would pay for it myself from time to time - just to let him know that i not a total gold digger. For my hair alone it costs around $1800 a year and that's without a weave. Mani-pedi can cost around 40 - 70 dollars every 2 weeks so that's another $1800. So if she's worth the $3600 go for it.
I don't think I would feel right about him paying for it but the price depends on where you go. Best case senario $150-$200
Heck yes, I would! The cost varies probably anywhere from $20 to $2,000
Yes! It depends on your location, but I pay about $20 for a manicure, $40 for a pedicure and anywhere from $35-100 for hair. Also throw a massage in there, and she'll love you for it! :)

Do you think it is ok for a man to get facials, manicures, pedicures, and eye brow waxing...?

for the purpose for meeting women?Do you think it is ok for a man to get facials, manicures, pedicures, and eye brow waxing...?
It's ok if a man gets the occasional manicure and pedicure (especially if his hands and feet are jacked), but it's a slippery slope.

I want a man who's a MAN! If he's trying to be ';pretty'; then he's not my type.Do you think it is ok for a man to get facials, manicures, pedicures, and eye brow waxing...?
I'm not so much into men who feel comfortable in a spa setting. I think male eyebrow waxing is seriously wacked. I do sometimes do a little work on my husband's nails at home because he is a nail biter.
I don't like pretty boys. I like a good clean shaven man, in levis and a Tshirt. Anything that goes beyond that is a little on the puff side to me.
Well as a man I get manicures and pedicures just to look good. I have never had a woman tell me I had nice nails but I know horrible nails can be a deal breaker.

Is it weird for a man to have a pedicure?

Im willing to try anything once. What do you girls think? Is it weird for a man to have a pedicure?
To be honest you will probably love it, I don't understand why guys are so scared to try it out. It's relaxing and makes you feel better and more importantly you're feet will be all nice and soft :)

plus I kinda have always liked a guy that would step up and do something crazy like this anyways :PIs it weird for a man to have a pedicure?
No it's not. Feet need to be taken care of, and having a professional take care of them for you just makes sense. You can avoid problems like ingrown toenails and painful cracked heels, which is smart no matter if you're male of female.

If you're not comfortable doing this regularly at a salon, then go once for a proper job and to watch how it's done. From there you can buy your own products (you don't need much, usually you can buy a little kit) then you can do it yourself at home. As a girl, ugly feet (rough dead skin etc) on a guy is a turn off, so I don't think your prospective partners would complain about it either!
not at all, guys who take care of themselves get ALOT more girls than guys who sont. just like a guy wouldnt want to see a girl with dirty fingers or toes, we dont wanna see a guy that way either. you should definitely try it, and it feels really good lol
im a beauty therapist and i have a distinction in pedicure. one of my models was a guy. it looked so much more attractive.
well, i no a couple of guys who have gotten one, even tho it was a one time thing.

    i laughed at them tho.

if u get one, thats cool,

just dont go around bragging bout it.
    More guys should get pedicures.
    hmph:)

    yes.

    my uncle gets them.

i'd rather i guy have pedicured feet than GROSS feet.

    just no polish ;)
nthng weird at all, it luks good actually...... dont be nervous go for it!
I see lot's of men come in for a pedicure. Soooo I don't see how anything could be strange about it.
It looks clean for guys.go for it!lol!
    it's kinda weird yeah
No don't think it's weird.. just don't wear polish :)
    yeah
honestly i would prefer it .... guys feet are just plain nasty sometimes..

I had a pedicure and had my nails polished dark blue, is this ok for men?

Absolutely, just make sure it matchs your panties and heels.I had a pedicure and had my nails polished dark blue, is this ok for men?
i guess if you have that whole billy from green day or skinny

    a-s-s ambiguous emo look

sometimes its hot for a guy to do slightly effeminate things

it can workI had a pedicure and had my nails polished dark blue, is this ok for men?
Well I'm all for men being feminist and i guess there's nothing' wrong with it its just not my idea of the Prince charming of my dreams u know but i think its no big deal i hate when people undermine some one because of gender. don't listen to the haters
um next time try clear it you want it at all
No, it's not OK! It's weird thing for a man to do!

Trust me it's not OK, a man is a man and has to stay a man, no need to be a girl when there are a lot of girls around!!! Hehehehehe... just a joke... but if you really want to look like a girl, you have to act and do things different, most of the girls don't even polish or paint their nails, but look at the bright side, they have them clean all the times!

To my opinion, polishing and painting nails, is like when you try to hide something on your fingers!!!
Yeah, if you're a drag queen.
Yeah sure if your a homosexual or transsexual.
i would understand the nail polish if you were a rocker guy, but the pedicure i dont think rocker guys would do that, but hey you seem secure with yourself so cool
I think that most of the men of today waste too much time sitting in the beauty shops, and nail salons. They need to be somewhere working, getting sweaty and dirty and taking care of their women. Some women are too tired and exhausted after taking care of their children and home and they don't have the money or the time for these kinds of luxuries. A man can be clean and well-dressed without polishing his nails.
umm...not in my book. ppl might think that u r gay... no offense if u r.
The pedicure is fine, not convinced on the color. I get pedicures monthly, and have only gotten clear. My wife likes it (even suggested it), but I'm not sure about colored polish, at least for me. If you're secure enough to do it and want to though, then there's no reason not to!
    sick
no it's not ok to have your nails polished in dark blue
if your secure enough with your masculinity
pedicure is okay , dont know about ploish
I think pedicures are fine with men. I haven't quite warmed up to the whole nail polish thing. I always think that the guy has some really nasty fingernails that have turned weird colors.

But if you can pull it off/like it, go for it!
No, never get your nails done, its too girly

Never ever get your nails painted.
I agree with everyone else, you're either gay, a drag queen or your goth. Tell us which so we'll know.
No, it's not. If you do get, your toenails polished, get clear! People might think that you're a crossdresser, or you have some kind of foot or toenail fungus or infection.
the only guys who polish their nails WITH COLOR ARE GAY, and the punk rockers/ gothic style guys polish theirs black
I think it is just fine for men to get pedicures...but next time get clear or no polish at all. It is just kind of wierd and people will look at you funny.
that`s cool!!! i bet it looks great!!!
No. Certainly not if you trying to get girls. It's kind of weird. Actually, it's very weird.

Is it ok for a man to have a french pedicure?

I have a french pedicure. Im a happily married male and my wife will not be surprised one day to find out I'm gay. She is accepting of it, but she has her limits of acceptance. My family doesn't know or my clients as well. I know they can't yet accept this sort of thing. I think men look much better with them as do women. Its just taking care of feet and men can have some BAD feet. Besides all the homophobic uneducated insecure people that don't like this... - I would like an honest opinion from someone not in the predescribed group. I ask again, Is it ok for a man to have a french pedicure? Is it ok for a man to have a french pedicure?
    ya! Why not?

Your right, men should take care of their feet, and so what if they look NICE. better than someother peoples feet.

It isn't a big deal, and i honostly think it shouldn't be a sign of gayness. Is it ok for a man to have a french pedicure?
It is OK but it is a bit odd. I may be a bit ignorant of it as my feet require almost no maintenance. It seems to me that it is mostly something to make your feet look better. Who looks at feet?
Nothing wrong with that at all- after all, they're your feet! And there's certainly nothing wrong with taking care of yourself- though polish on your toenails if you're a guy is certainly out of the norm. No worries though, in my opinion!
A French Pedicure? Does it have to be French?

My horseshoe'r does mine and he is not french at ALL!

Another way to have your toenails cut are the Chinese Bench Grinder.

Dont need to go to Collage Dude. Taking care of yourself is what you do best, I bet. For me helping others is a much better time. Hope ya enjoy our cute nails.

How about a German with hedge clippers, but that could be a little scary!

Look man just get some clippers and do it yourself. You don't need all the other stuff.
I would say no. Even if you were openly gay, I would say no.
no to me its not okay.
Its not anyones place to say if its OK or not. I think its a bit weird but if you like it, than thats your thing.

im not sure if you just said you were gay..? im totally cool with that...but your wifes OK with you being gay? i might have read that wrong..idk
no its not,it is like if u want to tell every one that u r gay.i think it is awful.
when you say french pedicure, do you mean where they paint the tips white? or just a normal pedicure where they scrub your feet, file your nails and give your feet a massage?

Personally, I think that if it makes you happy then go for it. I dont think its a question of right or wrong. I know many men who get manicures/pedicures (minus the polish). I agree that feet are often ignored by many men (and therefore look dirty and unkempt). It makes you feel better when you do simple things for yourself (or atleast thats how I feel).

The issue with your wife is another story all together. That part sounds like it needs counseling.
    They're your toes.

    I have to admit, if my husband came home with one i might be a little weirded out, but seriously, do your thing. like the saying goes ';the people who matter don't care, and the people who care don't matter.';

I don't feel that you (or anyone) should need to seek approval from anyone but yourself. If you like it and you're happy with it, then that is what counts.

  • Men, under what circumstances would you consider getting regular pedicures? Poll is for anyone I need input?

Okay, my husband thinks pedicures are too ';feminine.'; I was talking with one of my sisters, and we were thinking that if we turned it to a ';guys night out'; sort of thing, we could maybe convince them.

I would pay for the pedicure myself and anything else that he wants to go along with it. Any input is welcome.Men, under what circumstances would you consider getting regular pedicures? Poll is for anyone I need input?
2fine, I am am manly man, all man, a real man's man.

Pedicures may be a bit feminine, but they feel freakin great!

I have absolutely no problem with an attractive female stranger rubbing lotion on my feet and grinding down my callouses. Tell them that they're allowed to drink beer while they're getting it done. Beer and attractive strangers should work. That's how my wife tricked me in to getting one.Men, under what circumstances would you consider getting regular pedicures? Poll is for anyone I need input?
I get mine from a podiatrist but I do feel a bit awkward about it but I have trouble with my feet so I've gotta get them done . I wouldn't consider in a zillion years getting a pedicure unless they did house calls .
I feel that - If his feet are chaffing and/or cutting you at night then yes, he needs a pedicure. As long as he is not getting his nails polished he is not feminine. I wouldn't mind if my boyfriend got a manicure or pedicure, it is a lot better than having unattractive hands and feet.
Why on earth would you want to ';convince:'; anyone to do something they simply don't want to do? Maybe he could ';convince'; you NOT to have regular pedicures. Or, does that not sound fair?
    I cant think of any.
I do get manicurse form time to time. I will never get a pedicure, not for any amount of money.
lol, my husbands feet are jacked and he refuses to get pedicures because they are ';feminine.'; I told him it was just a way to keep his body healthy, I told him so many guys get it done that are straight. He doesn't buy any of it, and still refuses. He will barely let me see his feet, let alone a stranger.
well it depends. most guys think pedicures as getting like french tips and all that stuff, but i can be like just a regular alright for guys... i'd get one but only if it was like with my gf and one my chick friends i'd feel weird with my guy friends
if i dednt haftu pay too much for it haha 鈾?nice nails shudnt threaten a mans masculinity if hes secure in it!!
    Why??

    Pedicure and manicure for men?

There is nothing wrong with a man wanting to keep up his appearance. I see more and more men going to the salon to get them done everyday.~Pedicure and manicure for men?
What about it? I know plenty of guys that get them and insist my boyfriend keep his nails neat and trim.

go for it!!! Show's you care about your body and what you look like. If you're in boots all day the pedi will be awesome... I'm in heels all day adn LOVE it.
i think its cute that a guy will do something more feminine for once lets us know
There is nothing wrong with pampering yourself and keeping your body parts up to date clean!

My BF does it and I think its fun when he joins me!
Honestly i dont think nothing is wrong wit it but u shouldnt do it all of the time
A man who thinks enough of himself to have a manicure/pedicure is OK in my book. My husband has me do his nails once a week, and he loves it. He says it's really relaxing and calming for him, plus it makes his hands super-smoothe for my massages.
My wife is a nailtech and she has almost as many male clients for pedicures as she does females. But she has more female clients for manicures.
well i am a guy and have a manicure on 2 seprate occasions and wouldnt mind a pedicure.

i am more then willing to give both of them a try...also im not gay im married with my awesome baby boy

    Broc
I think a man is entitled to a mani/pedi just like a woman is. What woman wouldn't love a partner who was well-groomed? I think it would take a lot of confidence for a man to go to a salon and do the mani/pedi thing, but it would be sexy as heck to me!!
yes u can there is nothing wrong
I think its ok, but if it were me I would rather someone come to my house and do it there......

Question for the straight men. Do you get pedicures? If yes, how often.?

I know some straight men who have gotten pedicures... not often enough though!Question for the straight men. Do you get pedicures? If yes, how often.?
I take my man to get them, he is very much straight. Maintenance is a matter of cleanliness and grooming, not about sexuality. Go ahead and get that pedicure!!Question for the straight men. Do you get pedicures? If yes, how often.?
    yes u can get pedicures

the answer for how often is once a month
    once a month
my husband gets them every once in a while about once a month or two when ever he remembers really just because he thinks he has ugly feet lol. but there nothing wrong with it i know a few guys that are strait and get manicure also.

Are pedicure and manicure also for men ?

Don't you think that man should take care of hands and feet too ?

Thanks !!!Are pedicure and manicure also for men ?
Absolutely! Does your boyfriend agree? Are pedicure and manicure also for men ?
I think that everyone has to right to take care of their own hands and feet to the extent they feel comfortable. Some women go all out there and get really long fake nails and others prefer natural, shorter, clipped and clean nails. If you want to get manicures of pedicures it's fine too. Though people might assume that you are gay if you make them REALLY nice looking (stereotype, I know) I'm sure most women will find it attractive that you like to take care of yourself. Just go for clean hands and feet and clipped nails. However just so you know some women are freaked out by guys that seem ';high maintenance'; (not saying you are), especially if they themselves aren't.

    But anyway, have fun!
maybe if your a politician, public speaker, celeb, or hand model or if you like having that go for it!!
absolutely, it's just good hygiene but unfortunately most guys I know won't do it
    for metro or gay men
yeah you could get one. i've seen men in nail salons before. but make sure you just get a clear coat!
    yeah guys do it to
yeah sometimes when i get my nails done there be guys getting their nails and toes done i think is cute

    Best color for men's pedicure?

I am straight and married. I like color in my toenail and I would like to know about your opinion on the best color for men (my skin color is tanned).Best color for men's pedicure?
I would suggest a beige or nude color, this would give you shine and even out any discolorations you may have on your toes. Also with a tan it would stand out enough.

IMHO anything else would call too much attention to your feet and if your married and straight I don't think you want to send out the message that your not.Best color for men's pedicure?
Go with a natural nail color. Otherwise people are going to think you are gay.
For a straight male, I would choose a natural, very unobtrusive color or clear. And by the way, I commend you for caring about your feet. Many men refuse to out of ridiculous stereotypes.
You are gay and single. Men do not color their toes. How about a flaming red?
hot pink. only a man who is in touch with his feminine side is truly heterosexual and comfortable with his sexuality :)
Clear unless you are u know
    light pink
LOL! I never knew guys pedicured..

Ok since you are tan, go for light or dark brown. Or maybe black or blue if you want to go further.
i like black, dont ever get green b/c it looks gross

    lol

Yes, i take my guy friends(:

they go *secretly* by themselves..lol.Are you a guy or do you know any guys/men who go for facials or pedicures?
    yeah, it's not that uncommon.

Can someone describe for me what a pedicure for a man consists of?

I know they won't be painting my toenails, but can you tell me what they will do, and help me decide if I should get one?Can someone describe for me what a pedicure for a man consists of?
they will soak your feet, exfoliate them with this pumice/cream, srub of the dead cell and dry spots with a foot file, they might file your nails (if you want them to, tell them no if you dont want it) and then they might put on this type of clear polish(dont worry its made for men, you cant even tell that there is anything on, its not shinny )Can someone describe for me what a pedicure for a man consists of?
It consists of everything that a normal pedicure has, it just that they give you a clear coat instead of a real color. You should get one once in a while to pamper yourself.

    Hope that helps! :D
It's good that man do pedicure b'coz many of the time i have seen that man's toe are dirty. It is just timepass.
they rub your feet for you and paint your toenails

French or American Pedicure for Men?

I am a 41 year old married male with three daughters who has secretly been polishing my toenails since I was a young boy. No one knows of my interest in this and I guess it could be characterized as a fetish but since I've been doing it for so long, it's probably beond that point. Anyway, I have recently been facinated with women who have the french pedicure on their toes. I understand that there is a different version of the french pedi called the American pedi. Does anyone know the difference and whether it would look appropriate on me????French or American Pedicure for Men?
The french pedicure involves a fleshtone base with white tips. The american manicure involves a more pink/pastel pink base with white tips. French manis/pedis look more natural, while american manis/pedis have a more dainty and feminine look.

Men can pamper themselves with manis and pedis just like a woman can. However, I personally find that men with white tips look strange. But fleshtone manis and pedis can look very nice!French or American Pedicure for Men?
I personally wear french pedi all the time. Haven麓t had any problem outside. Go for it.

As a man, a pedicure does not sound appealing. In the professional world it is important for your cuticles to not show and neat nails.

With three girls, it can be surmised that you have been married for at least five years. Try to pick some of them up from your wife. Tips, that is. You never know, it may and some excitement. I have NO idea what a French Ped is and sure you are as manly as Jesse Ventura. But it doesn't sound right to me.

A slippery slope my friend. Best of luck and happy trails!
    French pedicure for men??? YIKES!
    uhhh just use clear polish.

Is it Ok for straight men to get pedicures? Girls Opinions please.?

Ok I played football today barefoot since I wore sandals and had no tennis shoes anywhere and I been cleaning my feet and there clean but like should I get a manly pedicure to make sure all the dirt and grass is not on my feet anywhere. How much do they cost anyways and where at? and should I be embarassed if I walk in if I got one? Yeah I know a weird question but I like to take care of myself, I'm not really metrosexual though. I'm more straight if anything. What is your opinion on this?Is it Ok for straight men to get pedicures? Girls Opinions please.?

Just go to a salon. It's not weird for you to get one. It's nice when men have ';not gross'; feet! Don't be embarrased, the women in the salon will not think you are weird. It will probably run you between 18 and 35 dollars. (just dependant on where you get it at) Go to an Aveda salon in your area. http://www.aveda.com/templates/door/loca鈥?/a> They give a great spa experience. (and they usually have a separate private room to do the spa experience in) Go have fun!!
definitely okay. if you go to any nail salon in a shopping center you'll get the best rates. It will probably be around $30. A man's pedicure may be priced lower though...not sure.

if you are a little nervous and want some more privacy make an appointment at a salon. you'll pay more but sometimes the extra pampering is worth the price if you aren't going to do these weekly - it's a fun summer splurge!

    have fun. sd
I wouldn't care one way or the other but for your information only pedicure stations are one of the most bacteria ridden places you could stick your feet. It can CAUSE foot fungus and nail infections. Just like a tanning bed can cause a yeast infection. It is true. So gauge your need for one. Maybe you can take care of them at home. Good Luck with the tootsies.
it's fine..really. it shows that you are a hygienic person. just please don't get them in loud painted colors. if you should have them painted, i strongly suggest the no color paint. alright? :D
of course it's ok! there's nothing at all wrong with men getting pedicures. in fact, i think it's good when men try to take good care of themselves. it's definitely much better than a slobby pig. so go for it, and don't be embarassed. they're usually between 15 and 30 dollars, at least when i get them. but you'll have to go into a nail salon to find out for sure. :]
Every nail place I have been to have had males getting pedicures. I think it is a given right now that men get them. I wouldn't be embarrassed, I'd just go, maybe take a magazine to read so you won't have to look at anyone, and have a pedicure.
i think it would be ok.........just dont get a color or anything
Yeah, a pedicure is healthy for your feet. It can prevent athlete's foot, infected toenails, or other gross stuff. They can cost anywhere from 15 to 40 dollars at a local nail salon and I'm sure you can find one, they're sprinkled on every street corner. Most salons have a male associate if you don't want a girl working on your feet haha. :) And no, it shouldn't make you embarrassed. P. Diddy gets them all the time and the ladies crawl all over him. Plus, girls like the same thing guys do. Would you rather date a girl who has clean, trimmed toes or one who had disgusting, dirty, over-grown toenails? I think we both know the answer haha.
Yes! As the health and safety reason. Why not?! Please don't care what the words saying that men don't used to get pedicure. If it is true..... They are stupid and bastard! Don't get embarassed. Its for your OWN good. Hey! :)
Absolutely nothing wrong with it, I wish my man would go get pedicures with me. Its totally sexy when a man takes that good of care of himself, its says alot about his confidence and come on, do you know one girl who wants to rub a nasty, dirt-under-the-nails, germ ridden foot? I dont, I like giving my man a good foot massage, but if their smelly and gross, I dont go near 'em. Well, com'on, I'm a lady.
I think it is OK!! %26amp; A good idea it is nice to see a man with nice feet!!!
It is totatlly fine! I have gone to get pedicures with some of my girl and guy friends all toether. There is nothing wrong with treating your feet to some prettiness.
I definately think it's ok. You should do what you want regardless of what others think, but it's fine. Go for it! Clean those nasty feet!
Most salons have a men's manicure/pedicure which will trim, shape and clean the nails and apply a clear coat to keep them healthy. If you're uncomfortable about doing it publicly, go to a salon where you are in a more private area.

I love a nice manicured hand on a man, as long as the nails are quite short (it's creepy to me when men have longer nails than me...), and not french tipped or painted pink. :)

Plus, a woman will be more apt to give foot rubs if your feet are clean and free of debris, calluses and other icky stuff we naturally get our feet.

    Good luck!
YES. PLEASE PLEASE GET THEM! WE LOVE WHEN GUYS FEET AREN'T DISGUSTING, cause beleive it or not, we NOTICE.

    just dont get them painteed
I'll try to keep this short because, again, you have a ton of answers. You're a very popular guy here.

I'm trying to think what I would want my boyfriend to do. And honestly, I wouldn't care. Now, if he were a businessman, I think it would just come with the territory and it would HAVE to be done to look professional. (At least with the hands.) But if your feet are grungy and calused, then I would recommend for you to go in for pedicure. But some people said that it can prevent fungus and stuff, that's just not true. It can actually CAUSE it, if the place you go to isn't clean. I've seen stories about it on my local news; places being shut down around here because they're so terrible. So make sure you go to a nice place. The place I go to is a spa, and I usually get a lot of other stuff done and then just pay the total, so I don't know how much my pedicure is, but I'm guessing around $40, not including tip. You HAVE to tip them around $3-5. It's just being nice. Sort of like the guy who does the valet for your car. Like someone else said, the better the place, the more it costs, but the cleaner it probably is.

You see all the opinions of these ladies and they'll probably help you to make up your mind, but I hope this helps as well.
    Definitely.

I would much rather a man get pedicures and have nice looking feet than a guy that has all nasty dirty feet with long toe nails.

    ...ew.

You shouldn't be embarrassed at all, most girls like a guy who takes care of himself.

You can get them at a nail salon, usually cost about $20.
My ex-girlfriend talked me into it before and I liked it. I would recommend it, but I am a metrosexual so I guess I am suppose to naturally like such things.

    The girls love it.
I think every person should get a pedicure at least once in their life, if only to see how nice their feet can look!

Women really appreciate pedicured toenails, especially if they are sharing our bed!

Save it for a better occasion than 'dirt and grass ', though.

Just scrub your feet all over with a hand/nail brush.

Nearly all spas and nail places offer 'Sport Pedicures' [ everything but the polish ] for men.

Tip: don't go to one that specializes in artificial fingernails - go to one that SAYS they do sport pedicures.

My husb is Mr. Macho, but when he was stationed in the Phillipines, got manicures and pedicures - my son, 23, can't wait to try one!
Please!!! Nails are nails they are unisex! So yes is perfectly ok for any men to take care of themselves is about time that men start taking care of themselves. Just don't over do it, pedicure and manicure is great but no nail polish please !
i love guys who get pedicures!it shows they keep up maintenance which is fabulous and there feet are cute, soft and pretty cute.just don't go and get a color just go for clear or no polish at all but i think a lil clear polish is good
I would like it but I wouldnt want to know about it haha

Its good when guys take care of themselves, just dont brag to your friends or ladies about it :)

They cost about 15-25$ depending where you go. You can get them at some hair salons, nail places and at a spa. Spa is probably best, its more expensive, but it's private. No risk of seeing one of your buddys girlfriends or hot sister or something lol

just look in the yellow pages in the phonebook:)

    Pedicure for men?

    You may even like it.

    Have Fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    sure
    uhmmm?
Hilarious. I like that they have to use beer to make it more appealing to men. That's great! I would LOVE it if my bf got a manicure and a pedicure bc he needs it...bad! Having nice hands and feet is something I definately notice. DO IT!
i think you will love it! lots of men get pedicures
better than the normal sissy way of getting it done. got 1 myself (minus the beer) %26amp; found it very overrated
It's a great idea. Men should have nice looking feet with manicured nails and all the rough spots removed. But also understand it's not really a one time thing you should go every so often.
DO it, its hot when a guy takes care of himself
You should go with him you get to drink beer while someones grooming your feet.
Pedicures being a woman only endeavor is just a social stigma. Now-a-days plenty of men are getting facials, pedicures, manicures, and even plucking their eyebrows.

Getting a pedicure won't suddenly make you less ';masculine'; and it might even make you more appealing to some women. Nothing more unromantic than dirty feet/long toenails.

My wife has been after to me to go and get a pedicure because she says my nails are ugly...LOL. She also says that she sees men with their wives getting pedicures at the salon she goes to.

I will probably do it because I am a stand up guy and am never embarrassed about things so i probably will. I am just curious if other men do it or is my wife pulling my leg?

ps: If I do it, I may pull a funny one on my wife. I will go alone to the salon and then have the woman put nail color on my toe nails...LOL. Then I will go home and shock my wife for a few minutes...LOLIs it fairly common for men to get pedicures these days?
    Yes, it is very comon.

Its a ';ritual'; of beauty as in men and as in women, and looks good on both.

But when talking about nail colour, women use more colours that call atention, or not. Men use bright nailpolish, not coloured ones, you can make your nails very bright and beautiful, in this way, your feet will look pretty aswell.

I hope I helped you! =)Is it fairly common for men to get pedicures these days?
Well, to be honest, I think it's becoming common. A lot of close minded people think only ';gay'; or homosexual men go to salon, but getting a pedicure is nothing bad. My guy friends actually got some for prom ( even manicures! ) It's good to get one once in a while, to keep yourself clean and well maintained. If you're going with your wife, that's even better, you two will have fun :)
    hey ugly toes

its totally ok 4 guys to get pedicures

you should get pedicures monthly or more

as a woman i am offended when men dont have the courage to get their nails done

definitely go for it and your wife will get off your back

and you will have a new found confidence in your feet

    good luck,

    wwaffle!!!!
its healthy to get pedicures and theres definately nothing wrong with a man getting one, especially if you need one. i dont think you should get your nails painted with a color to shock your wife. go with her to the salon it will be a great way to spend time with her.

i would also suggest a manicure!!!

    have fun!
that is completely normal. My boyfriend had hideous feet, now it doesn't feel like Im playing footsie with rocks.

go for it... might i suggest ';cotton candy'; for your color, its subtle and cute, but she will notice. =)
well these days it is normal for a guy to get pedicures. yOU'RE saying that your wife thinks you nails are ugly...maybe she's right and you need. Go for it. if its for her then please her=)
I'm a manly man and 46 years old. I get them all the time and my feet look great! I also get a lot of compliments...I wear flip flops 90% of the time.
Yeah its normal. I'd rather a guy have nice nails than nasty ones....

and im really weird so nails are the first things i notice and if they aren't nice then im outta there!
    NO DONT EWW
NO. SHE IS JUST YAAAAANKIN YO CHAIN
yeah, only if your gay ( my opinion)
If you're going to go to the salon, you definitely don't want to pay $40 to have color put on your nails just to take it off lol

Last time I got a pedicure there were two gay men getting pedicures at the same time. I'm not saying that by getting them you are or aren't gay. I think it's a good thing that you like to maintain your appearance, as long as you are happy with your nails. If you don't want to get a pedicure, then don't, but you can always give it a shot and see how you like it.

I know that Bernie Mac used to get a manicure every week to keep his nails looking nice. It's not all that uncommon.

French pedicure for men? Gross or Glow?

I recently saw in a magazine a man with painted toenails (french pedicure) and found it so... out of place and plain gross!

Am I just too old-fashioned wanting a man to mistreat his toenails?French pedicure for men? Gross or Glow?
EWE!!! that is just BAD! no french pedicure for MEN - I agree that they have to get a pedicure but just a regular one with clean polish - pedi and mani for them are a plus!French pedicure for men? Gross or Glow?
ew nope men should get pedicure but not get a french manicure done thats just so out of place :)
men should treat their toe nails, but having them painted is a little too extreme. I mean there is nothing wrong witha man getting a pedicure, as long as he doesnt get them painted.
i agree with the mani an th pedi for men but not the french
Ewww that is wayy to weird! I would think a guy was extremely homosexual if he had that done!
    its odd
    That's just gross.

    Do men go for pedicures?

Do you also, like us women, need to have the skin scraped off your feet due to the pressures of wearing shoes?Do men go for pedicures?
lately more men go for that too.Do men go for pedicures?
i think ,if u r a rich guys then probably u will have someone to to it for u,,but most off the regular joe wont be spending time and money on it,
Never had one, just use to clipping thge nails off every few weeks.
manicures yes, all the time, but not pedi....
There's a shop in Sydney does that especially for men.. you go in and they will groom you from head to toe literally. I went there for a haircut... I was the only man there.. two hairdressers where giving each other a makeover.
Yes, I have a pedicure at least every 2 months!
no real men bite the toe nails off!

however some need to go specially when the treat of an ingrown toe nail is present
    Why not?
Yes lots of men do they just don't want to admit it. Some of us have items we use in the bath to loosen hard skin, and trim our own nails. Most don't some do
I never have but sure would love to.
Typically no. But I know one that did.
Sure men are notorious for having bad feet. I go once every two months with my wife. Best thing to get started doing.Walking around with bad feet ain't no fun,
No not at all. Women's shoes are made of different styles. For an example: Men's shoes are usually flat, not too pointy and cushier and women's shoes are usually high heeled, pointy, open back and made of fine hard leather. This causes the itching. I'm not trying to say that you should stop wearing those shoes, it's the style! but you can try treating it with creams and sprays, example: Oder eater!

What is a manicure and pedicure for MEN ?

well the same this it is for women of course. but it's ok for men to have a pedicure. WHAT I MEAN IS: clear near polish. some men do that. my dad does. and im 11 years old. but yes when ever he is going some were like 2 his home town jamaica, my mom takes him 2 the nail salon 2 get his toe nails shined. but a manicure? no way! What is a manicure and pedicure for MEN ?
Something they should NEVER have. What is a manicure and pedicure for MEN ?
same thing. those words aren't gender specific
It's the exact same thing as a manicure and pedicure for women except you use clear nail polish or buff the nails instead.
Samething as a women's mani/pedi but does not involve nail polish. Some men will put a light clear coat to protect their nails, but it does not come with the men's mani/pedi.
a foot rub and a hand rub.
It's the same thing as a women's manicure and pedicure except they use clear nail polish.
    same as it for women
a manicure and a pedicure..............unisex the same for all. clean, shape, trim, ...a great idea... good grooming and taking care of yourself... A+ in my book

Is it gay for men to get manicures and pedicures?

And is it gay to wear clear nail polish after the manicure? Is it gay for men to get manicures and pedicures?
Yes it is.Is it gay for men to get manicures and pedicures?
I was a nail technician for 20 years. Some of my best cusomers were men, from every walk of life. I had business men, military men, farmers, and just about any other profession you could think of. They all said that they did not feel well groomed unless they had a manicure and pedicure. They liked my service, because I also gave a hand and arm and foot and leg massage with the service. It is very relaxing if done correctly. I studied reflexology in order to know stress points and places to massage to make other parts of the body feel better. There was nothing sexual in anything that I did either!!
I myself, as a transvestite, do my own nails, and pedicure, and the finger nails are far too long for a male - at least so I'm told, but the toe nails are always painted, and these along with my 6 toe rings and anklet, are quite ';femme'; I gues you could say.

Oh and by the way, I'm also married (to a g/g fyi), if any adverse thoughts were contemplated.

And not to have an attitude, but I really don't shiv a git at who ';judges';..

Nope, not gay. Men, especially in sales or entertainment careers, do it all the time! Stellar hygiene and personal care does not equal gay.
No, it 's called good grooming. Also known as personal hygiene.

As far as the polish, I've found that buffing provides a more durable finish.
    i think a manicure is kewl.. but to me - no offense '; a pedicure is a bit gay...';

and I dont think the clear polish is too bad...
    no.

it's not gay to do something out of the norm, a person can be gay, and action can't.
No, but the nail polish thing got to go!
yes. you might as well ask the manicurist to shove something up your butt while she does your nails.

can i have some food now?
no, but the clear nail polish may be pushing it

Maincure and pedicures for men, along with polish, what do you think?

    (Gay is creepy? How mature.)

Some men actually care about good grooming, which would include getting manicures and pedicures, skin care and hair products. So yes, men DO get manicures and pedicures, and there are even clear polishes that are used, or the nails are buffed. I think it's fine.

And hey... I don't care if you get a color.... whatever makes your day is fine in my book.Maincure and pedicures for men, along with polish, what do you think?
No polish please!!! Nicely groomed nails are great, but the shiny polish is definitely a turn-off.Maincure and pedicures for men, along with polish, what do you think?
